Looking for a good RAIL SHOOTER

anyone know of a good rail shooter on steam? and i mean a real "rail shooter" where the camera is not in your control. you just point and shoot via on screen reticle. i'm talking straight up House of the Dead style. steam search filters suck. anyone?

There's Yar's Revenge, but thats the only on rails shooter i know of.

none that i found on steam, but if you can find a copy of it i think house of the dead is on pc

Not on steam. But Virtual Cop 1 & 2 got pc releases. To bad Virtual cop 3 is Arcades only.

Rambo the Video Game is the best so far in my opinion, then also on Steam theres Heavy Fire Afghanistan and Reload.
If you enjoy on-rails shooters like me, there is also MAME, with it you can emulate some of the classic railgun shooters from the arcades on your PC, playing with mouse/keyboard/gamepad or whatever you set up. Its not as simple as start and play, MAME involves a little configuring before, also downloading the right games/roms.People also build their own custom arcade cabinets and often inside one will be a PC running MAME. Im not sure if there are affordable working light guns for the PC atm., but I have played arcade shooters like Maximum Force, Area 51, Lethal Enforcers, Point Blank etc. with it in the past.
Also you could play rail shooters on another platform: For the Wii you could get House Of The Dead Overkill and some decent plastic guns for the remotes, invite a friend over, play it split screen or just by yourself. Have fun!

He screamed, "con ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gratys, you can build null tallys" as he pulled back his foot to kick me. Luckily, the recess bell rang at that moment, and RTZ's 3rd grade teacher made him go back inside, where he spent the rest of the day writing "I am A-God" in crayon. Blue Estate, how has nobody mentioned this masterpiece of an on rails shooter!? There is also Mad Bullets & BeachHead, as well as Sniper Strike: Special Ops which happens to be free!
