If you enjoy on-rails shooters like me, there is also MAME, with it you can emulate some of the classic railgun shooters from the arcades on your PC, playing with mouse/keyboard/gamepad or whatever you set up. Its not as simple as start and play, MAME involves a little configuring before, also downloading the right games/roms.People also build their own custom arcade cabinets and often inside one will be a PC running MAME. Im not sure if there are affordable working light guns for the PC atm., but I have played arcade shooters like Maximum Force, Area 51, Lethal Enforcers, Point Blank etc. with it in the past.
Also you could play rail shooters on another platform: For the Wii you could get House Of The Dead Overkill and some decent plastic guns for the remotes, invite a friend over, play it split screen or just by yourself. Have fun!
And... I don't care.
