I can't help but wonder if you got butthurt because a disabled person spoke up here in the forums and this type of media was suggested as a way of income.
"Something must be done"... GTFO. hahaha..
I think you need to hold off on trolling this thread. What if everyone in the world stopped doing physical labor and just sat on their read ends playing video games all day and getting donations for it. How would that be healthy for the survival of humanity or create decent human beings?
I really hope the governments look into it, because it's sickening when people are slaving a way 8-14 hours a day on an assembly line trying to feed a family of four, while some 22 year old on Patreon or Twitch claims they are "disabled", but can play video games all day.
patron is not for begging its a site for artistic people to sell their work AND actually receive most(All?) of the money for it without some producer/manager/agent/company/gallery gouging them for 75%+
taxes (while odious) only WORK if they are fair and balanced accross every spectrum and just taxing things you dont like is not a fair and balanced system...you should be more pissed at the global companys like apple, google and amazon etc who pay incredibly SMALL(if any) amounts of taxes despite generating BILLIONS in profits every year...
Its quite simple DO NOT USE THOSE SITES also your "moral" or "ethical" views are not those of others it you cannot accept that then YOU are the one with the problem and that problem is-ARMCHAIR TYRANNY-desire to dominate and control those who do not agree with you..move to china, russia or the middle east as thats where you can have the level of control over others you seem to desire
*edits for missed words/letters and format*
Seems like you are the one "butthurt". Society needs to stop dignifying Twitch, Patreon, and Youtube. It's time for people to get real jobs! Soon as the talk of taxes come up, people get all irate. Yes, taxes have to be paid from ALL income.
calling it like i see it if you dont like it maybe mommy can come down to the basement and tell you how "mean" and "terrible" people on the internet are to her little angel...
i have a real job just becasue i am steam on does NOT mean i am in the us(UK actually and my time is 2:15am and not that you neeed to know but i am recovering from an injury at work and am still on here due to pain from the injury)
I believe you can be exempt from taxes under certain circumstances. Considering you only "wonder" if he is taxed.. I would suggest studying up on it before going around calling everyone a "beggar". That is of course if you aren't just upset by something you saw or heard, or just looking to troll. As it stands you are mad about something you don't even have a first clue about.
tumblr immigrant perhaps?
I was in a severe auto accident as well. I also had a heart attack recently and have a stint. So..settle down there bud. There's other's out there, you aren't the only one. I don't need to beg though.
Wait until the cable companies raise the internet fees and impose data caps. Let's see how long the steamers and beggars can stand it. It's the truth and i'm putting it bluntly. The Twitch and Youtube generation in my opinion, is not promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Not at all. But don't you think it's odd that every time a new game releases, people on Twitch are streaming it and at the same time accepting donations for something they did not create? I can see maybe if their commedians or magicians, or artists painting. People actually creating something than using someone else's work to make a profit. Maybe i should have clarified it.
ahhh! now it all makes sense your one of the baby boomers(that created a sytem where people need to spend 50K+year to go to collage and then find out that you want them to have a diploma at 18 and 25 years experience before they can work for you...(worked with a cretin ike that once got his ass fired for embezzelment, theft and fraud got me a sweet new job for bringing it to the owners attention )while your generation only paid 5k for the entire course) that hate younger people and technology becasue you never had it no one should
Yes i know this as there are a few worth watching programs, but the thing is, there's no oversight. Literally have to go through hundreds of pages on Twitch to find a good feed, and every single one of them people begging or advertising when people donate them money while they st and eat chips and drink pop. I just think there needs to be more quality control. It's sort of like Steam Greenlight.
You are disturbed. Stop compairing me to your delusions, thanks. What you do or did in your life is your business, i didn't create this thread for bickering. Why is that UK people always seems to try to insite flame wars in internet forums? The way your tone is, you obviously have some ill-will towards American's. So with that, i bid you good day and good luck.
Disabled* does not mean that the person is incapable of doing any and all work at all. They cannot do physical work and must look to other sources for work. Working frome home is a convenient option for those who are disabled. It helps to supplement the rather paltry social security check that is received each month.
*I'm aware disabled can also mean mentally disabled, but I'm assuming that if a person is mentally disabled, they cannot always properly play video games. Why would they bother trying to make money off them if they can't quite play them?
So, what is a real job? In my eyes, as long as it provides a consistent flow of capital to your pocket in exchange for your services, it's a job. Doesn't matter if you're a construction worker or a pop star, they're both jobs. Not everyone is cut out for hard labor and not everyone is cut out for popularity. That said, the internet is no exception. Those youtubers and twitch streamers are working for their money, just as us common folks do. They don't do any less work. They need to script their videos, record them, edit them, buy/upgrade gear, pay for good internet service and, in the case of gaming youtubers, buy games. It's no different from the aforementioned construction worker who will need to buy their own tools, pay for transportation, pay for materials not provided by the contracting company and make their work as best as they can so that it lasts for a long time.
I can hardly agree that youtubers, twitch streamers and other people of that sort can be seen as beggars. Beggars are people who walk up to other people and beg for money. These people aren't doing that. They are giving us a service, that is, their videos, which is paid for by ad revenue (usually). It's how the economic system works.
Plus, just as a little sidebar, being a youtuber or twitch streamer is a huge risk. There are loads of people who don't hit it off and become famous. When someone dumps their whole life savings into equipment for youtubing and doesn't profit off of it, that sucks. The pay is better, but the risk is ever higher. Practical jobs are a better way of having a more steady flow of income, minus the risk and higher profit that youtube and twitch can bring.
i am NOT disturbed a little sociopathic but thats what makes me fun!
i have NO ill will towards americans hell i have been to the US 8 times i have issues with people who think only their way is the right way and anyone else is wrong and evil for opposing them
