Mouse in my bathroom cabinet.

After my cat went in there every night and me hearing a bunch of chewing noises, I finally followed my cat in and opened the cabinet. I saw the mouse staring at me then finally going up the sink pipe and into a small hole. I need to figure out how to kill it!

Had a mouse in a wall once. You can drill two holes the size of half dollars or smaller. Put a box or a coke bottle on one and ram a coat hanger in the other. He will run out.

I'd go with a glue trap do to it being the safest poison free option. Just place it in the cabinet, and keep it closed to keep the cat out. Once the mouse is stuck you can dispose of it as you wish.

I did have other mice that I caught because they were too fast and too stupid. I set down a cardboard rectangle with an opening and once I scared the mouse it ran towards a hiding spot under something but went inside the box instead.

As you said before peanut butter didn't work, as it was just licked off. A more solid form can still work. Chunky peanut butter or a snickers bar would probably be ideal.

Next best option is cheese.

If you're using the regular old traps make sure you add some of the bait on the bottom of the trigger. That can cause the rodent to actually step on the trigger and put more weight on it. The updated plastic traps have a huge paddle surrounding the bait. One very light touch and the trap is sprung. The bait is far enough away from the edge the rat has to step on the trigger in order to reach the bait.

Get a mug. Press some peanut butter inside at the bottom. Place upside down on a piece of cardboard with a coin holding one edge up.

A mouse will happily go inside, climb the edge to lick the peanut butter and knock out the coin.

In the morning, feed it to the cat or release outside (miles away from your house).
