I enjoy multiplayer games, especially with friends but given the choice, I'd take a single player game with a great story and gameplay over multiplayer games any day.

I've never liked PvP, and don't see me changing that anytime soon. Back in the days, my selection of F2P MMO"RP"Gs was based on two criteria: 'can you play it without cash items', and 'can you play it without PvP'. It got a third criteria later on, 'can you play it solo' as games started to gate levelling with multiplayer-dungeons as well.
Outside of F2P I never got into the "MMORPG" games for obvious reasons. I did get The Secret World through a Humblebundle recently, and it's actually quite unique -- and, even more important, solo-friendly :-) At least for a while; it gets very grindy if you want to solo to the "epic" items (although I can't tell how many dungeons runs you'd need; I'm just assuming it's less grindy doing it that way).
