Why is Gardevoir loved so much more than Gallade?

They're both equally my favorite Pokemon but it seems like people don't like Gallade just because he conflicts with the whole "Gardevoir is muh waifu" thing. Even then people who don't waifu Garde still seem to love her so much more and seem to think Gallade doesn't exist.

Also Gardevoir played a big part in the original Pokémon mystery dungeon game. Not to say that Pokémon conquest and the Pokémon movie with Darkrai in it were bad, but I just liked the original Pokémon mystery dungeon game better. (I mention those 2 Pokémon things, because Gallade is featured more in both things) It also may be just me, but I also find Gardevoir to be more human, Gallade looks more anorexic, whereareas Gardevoir looks like an overall better Pokémon. Plus Ralts really just makes more sense to me to evolve into Gardevoir.

I don't think anyone bases their favorite Pokemon on which one is easiest to get tho. Otherwise people wouldn't like the event Pokemon, so if anything a Pokemon being more rare means more people like it.

Speak for yourself. The first Pokémon game where they don't have a starter bird Pokémon is the time I will probably stop buying the games. When it comes to Pokémon, I'm a filthy casual who'll try to travel the whole game with my original "crew", or at least give my originally caught Pokémon some sympathy level ups from time to time. This could also be why I really don't play online, because my ass gets whooped.
