But for me, i'll start with a falchion, its a sword designed like an axe and had a lot of punch so it wouldnt be to hard to hack a zombie down and if I needed I could smash open doors/fences/wood or anything which needs a good hit.
And it only weighs 2 pounds so it's not really going to slow me down, I could also use it with good speed due to getting a slightly longer two-handed one but it wouldnt be too big that it interupts my movement.
If I could legally get a gun I would get a small firearm which I could carry plenty of ammo with, im not sure which one because I dont really know about guns but I would need something if I was injured or there were survivors.
Many people are bringing more than two which is just pointless, its going to slow you down (and likely prevent running due to bad possessining) and its just wasted space, why would you bring a shotgun and a rifle when you could use all the shotgun space for more ammo instead?
But lets be honest, the easiest solution to a zombie apocolypse is to get maximillon plate armour, zombies ain't getting through that any time soon.

15-20 megajoules of concentrated thermal energy wipe out zombies
If it can drop a warhammer Ork, then walking human corpses are easy patootie
While lasguns are considered weak in the setting its from, it is just because everything else in the setting is ridiculously tough.
best of all, the batteries of these guns can be recharged via generators, placing it over a fire, or even via extended exposure to sunlight.
I'll take an M16A4 as well, for the M203 grenade launcher and the bayonet. Not the best weapon against people, but perfect for zombies. Why stab them with a knife and risk getting close when you could stab them with a little pike?
Next, a silenced MP5K for quiet work, and grenades. Lots of grenades. M67 frag and M84 flashbangs. You can never have enough.
Finally, a few pounds of my friend C4. Not me, I wouldn't bring me to a zombie apocalypse if I didn't have to, the actual plastic explosive, a plug-syle detonator, and WD-1 slash wire. With C4, the whole world is your door. Or your kill-zone.
Once I have procured a proper tactical vehicle, I'll probably truck around some AT-4's as well, just not on my person, as they're a pain in the a$$ to carry. Cumbersome. Nor are they the most useful weapons in the world, and terrible to aim, but a rocket launcher is always a good plan D through Z. Just the threat of it against people who don't know how little it's actually capable of is a decent deterrent, and it makes for an impressive, noisy show when fired. For all those times when you need to pull a Houdini act.
Filling it all out, thrice-blessed civilian 5.56mm ammo. Remington or something. Hell, it could even be Wolf. Anything is better than M855 ball, the pathetic excuses for pop-gun rounds troops are expected to use. I'm sure I'll have to use the bane of modern firearms at some point, but I'd rather blow through the quality stuff first, even if I have to link it into belts myself. Not that I'd necessarily have to. I can use M16 mags with the SAW, one of my favorite little features.
Now I'm ready. Let's do this ****!
2. Hatchet and filleting knife.
3. Weatherby Mark 5 (.308) or similar for hunting. Although an AR-15 or similar would be more practical, both for the fact of 5.56 NATOs and not being bolt action. But I mean come on it's a Weatherby Mark 5. :3
4. Glock 17. (9mm)
id use a small quick sword, most likely a sabre, or a rapier.
Since it can be used to make quick accurate attacks and makes little sound, makes alot more sense than some of the other weapons listed.
