you just haven't found anything worth playing. some games are hits like yugioh duel links and draw something, while others are just trying to cash in on simple mechanics.

I liked the days when people came up to me telling me to play angry birds, flappy bird, temple run, plants vs zombie, and Pokemon go. Now it's games like duel links, hearthstone, and clash of clans where they look like they take so long to get into and your forced to play everyday to make any progress that our pay and nobody does that anymore.
I play RBI baseball and it's really fun. I'm doing a full season and right now i got 36 wins and 1 loss. And all 36 wins are all shutouts. The other team never scored on me.
You pay for the game once and thats it. No in app purchases at all.

Probably because a mobile game should run good, take up small space, drain as little battery as possible but still be fun and addicting

Most of the "phone games" are not intended as "games to play for entertainment".

They are desinged solely for you to download, install and maybe play once - maybe even hopefulyl view an advertisement - If you can share with your social media then even better - that's then enough to have collected the data points from your phone, and your friends' activities too to build a suitably valuable aggregate sample.

You should therefore base your expectation accordingly.

If you are pelased that you have provided the game publishers with a sufficient source of revenue, and are welcoming targetted advertising refined by the valuable information you are willing to provide - then this should be considered an enjoyable success.
If you expected some form of entertainment satisfaction through your interaction with pixels, you are misinterpreting where the amusement is placed within the game.

Because most of them try to be a conventional game instead of focusing on the strengths of a phone.

There were some games like Angry Birds, 2048, or Can Knockdown 3 that I generally enjoyed as a time waster when I got nothing better to do, but honestly I haven't had a single mobile game that was genuinely good.

I'd love to finally beat Bounce on my dad's old ass Nokia 2000-someting, but he doesn't have that phone anymore...

Really not sure what that's supposed to mean, it sounds disturbing.

beat = euphemism for penile masturbation
Bounce = euphemism for sex or heavy petting
ass = US for arse, slang for posterior/buttocks

beat - complete, finish
Bounce - a Java game available on some Nokia mobile devices
ass - meaningless in the sentence used above.
