Hatoful boyfriend - shuu murders Anghel
So after rewatching the anghel route I have just realized that shuu murders anghel on any other route but anghels. Firstly is anghel's student is card. It's the card we find in the hallway and would usually take to the office, but in anghel's route, he stops you. Also, at the end of shuu's route he tells you that turning in the card allowed him to despose of the evidence for a murder. Secondly, if you f up anghel's route, and let him break into the infirmity alone, you never see him again. He would have normally broken into the room but he lives because you were there to stop him. In all other routes you never meet him and therefore never stop him allowing shuu to kill him.

"But what's going to really bake your noodle later is would you have broken it if I hadn't said anything?"

I'll play the Anghel's Advocate here. Anghel may not have broken into the infirmary if you don't meet him. Remember, he identifies you as Edel Blau, and without that meeting he may not have made that choice because he may not have felt the time was at hand to confront Wallenstein. As for the ID card... if it was lost by a student that Shuu had disposed of, then on Anghel's route you should not have been able to return it to Anghel because he would have already been dead. Remember that you can't meet Anghel until after you complete Shuu's route the first time (Or Yuuya's). It's possible that the ID card belongs to someone else unless you choose Anghel's route. Therefore it's left to the realm of uncertainty. I think only Hato Moa could answer that definitively, but hey, you could be onto something.

Anghel does survive if you play BBL, and he survives in Holiday Star, which implies an alternate route not present in the original game in which Anghel survives.

@Phoenix As much as I dont want to admit it, alternate universe is probably the best explaination because of 1). the different endings to the game 2). the bbl ending where everything is messed with and 3). holiday star (which has Nageki do some questionable things for a ghost).

To clairify what I ment by the id card is that you only know it's his when he's there to recognize it as his, and he's only there to tell you when he doesn't break into the infirmiry.

I do like your thoughts on him breaking into the infirmiry and not, but your probably right by just calling alternate theory. I just prefer not to cause its the easy way out :heartoful:

I look at Hatoful Boyfriend as acting like quantum states of matter. All outcomes are equally viable, yet only one can be expressed at any one time.

BBL is just taking Schrodinger wayyyy to far.
It was not cat inside that particular box....
