Has anyone noticed the slight pitch change in youtube videos?
especially in music videos

They are slowing videos down just slightly, to maximize run time. This can cause things to sound lower in pitch.

If that's true I really don't understand why we still use YouTube, it's getting worse everyday, almost as if the developers and overseers are doing it intetinally

Altering the pitch is a way to throw off robots that detect copyright music.

The uploader likely edits the pitch or speed to avoid breaching copyright and ending up with a strike on their yt channel etc.

The pitch is the same. It's just the sound quality that is slightly different.
