Presumably it has something to do with how its going through so much wire and through the keyboard to play sound through your earbuds. If it is plugged into your tower it doesnt have to go through a third party to get there.
Its also possible that since you have a headphone jack on your keyboard that there may be a volume control for it there too that is messing with it.
Yup! The Razor Blackwidow Chroma gaming keyboard. I also have a usb port on it that I can easily use for my Xbox controller. There's also a port for a microphone. It was a real pleasant surprise when I got it. I need all the ports I can, only because I have so much hardware. Though, I reckon you're correct. I'm probably not getting the best audio due to so much wiring.
