Why does BF: Hardline have to be special?

So I play BF1 and really like it, and I wanted to try a modern version, but sadly its completely different? Why does it launch from a webbrowser? Why?

Its completely ruined it for me, taking ages loading up stuff that it doesnt even load (Ive tried 3 times to join 4 different servers now but not once has it actually opened anything)

Campaign is the only thing that worked and thats fine, but I want to play multiplayer but I cant.


It tells me "I am playing on xXXXXXx server" but nothings open. Task manager says it is but nope, nothing open.




Why does it have to be special?

Fortunately for us, EA is going to implement the BF1 UI to BFH and BF4 soon.

Umm...Hardline isn't the only one that uses the web browser. Anyways, I think BF4 and Hardline will implement how BF1 was done later.

I'd try running it in Firefox and try to see what happens. For Chrome it could be some weird option or plug-in that prevents it, but yeah. Also check your security and make sure you check allow.

Also, might I recommend something? BF4 is the true modern version of the series. Not to mention the playerbase is still strong whilst Hardline is dwindling. If you can, try to refund the game and get BF4 instead. That's if you purchased Hardline recently.

Acutally when they did that, it ruined the game in my opinion, the Battlefield 4 UI was fine but ever since they made all 3 game's have the same time of UI I found that BF4 was a lot more unstable and finding server's was much more difficult.

Just wanted to present that first. Hardline is pretty much dead on PC. Just under 1,000 peak vs BF4's 16,000 player peak.

Anyways, I haven't played Hardline before so I can't give you a comparison. There are many Youtube videos that can do that though.

Most of the Battlefield community agrees that Hardline was a bad game and a terrible Battlefield title.
