Also to my opinion again on whole matter. I as i read all the stuff you posted while i was busy.
I still think this is not okay, before sleep yesterday, i was talking to few friends about the issue. And they agreed with my point of view, that he is not bad guy, and he is not racist. BUT that paying little kids for writing something like that is simply over the line.
Yes alot of us like jokes like that, but it does not make it right for majority of people. Especialy the party PewDiePie ofended.
Also we need to realize if we actept this, because it's something "new" to YouTube, we would send a message to a world that being "Nazi" because he is portrayed that way like it or not. Is totaly okay and you can joke about killing whole religion, or in worst case be even serious about this.
What most of you don't seem to realize is, that he is the biggest YouTube star out there, and he have alot of followers, and i personaly dont want people go out with sings like the two little kids had. As i said i am Atheist but i am really tolerant to some degree. And i dont know how you feel the kids wrote something like that about christians or republicans or democrats. Would you be calm too?
Joke is a joke. Joke like that is beyond being joke to GENERAL PUBLIC. And they dont take it like joke, and they have right not to, i dont take it well neither. Again i wont call him Nazi or something like that, he is good guy but he overdone it. I dont want to see him hang, or in prison, but world need to know something like is not right even as a joke.
Again in a circle of friends you belive and they know they take it that way? Sure ... But AGAIN doing the joke infront of a whole world is just outright bad. And if you dont know that, i don't know anymore in which world do i live in.

But youtube is a free place where content creaters can make what they want pretty much unrestricted, why force TV like restrictions on it?
Again this is not the issue. This is just the strawman argument appropriated in defence or amongst naive ignorant prettens that only see so far as "Pewdip made a joke and some jews got offended because they cant take a joke"
This mentality is evident throughout the social media of young persons and this thread too.
The real issue is that the effect of Kjellberg'äs statement - possibly greater in terms of being jsut a joke, therefore more socially accepted - is the normalisation of auch attitudes.
When people make jokes about bombs in airports or shouting alluha akhbar and running into a crowd, the general populace are clearly affected and react accordingly - WHY? It's just a joke.
An extreme example, sure... but one that highlights that jokes are jsut jokes and they are to be taken as such, and of course, there should be opportunities to make such jokes - however, there is an element of responsibility in the time, place and manner in which such jookes are employed.
There are groups that strive continuously in order to reach levels at which persecutions of certain demograqphics are acceptable and normalised and empathies for those demographics are reduced. This is part of a greater agenda.
Should one person's effort (NOT JUST ONE JOKE, but a consistent themed tirade) instill the same effect then they are clearly whether intentionally or otherwise, supporting the agenda of those groups who have made full advantage of the opportunity now afforded to exploit this controversy.
Of course Pewdew is not intending to do such. I'm sure he has no idea of the complexity of the situation. But the lines can be drawn, and Disney and others are well aware of this potential - therefore they must protect themselöves from any such notions. Cutting ties was definitely in their best interests and that's all this issue is about. Whether people can take a joke or claiming Kjellberg is a nazi or nazi sympathiser or whatever is irrelevant strawmanning. Clearly he's NOT and clearly he only meant a joke. He apologised and hopefully will appreciate a wider perspective.
