How do I port forward without router access?

So there is tonnes of stuff on the internet on how to do it but none of it works on windows 10, I have this http://prntscr.com/e715jx error every time I am trying to add a port. Wtf am I doing wrong how do I do it properly? Its not my firewall I turned it off and tried again to no avail.

you are NOT tampering with it until you only forward a port that you trust

No I already explained, I thought there were other ways to port forward or connect to other peoples computers without having to do that, but apparently not....

I have no idea what ports I do and dont trust, all I know is this port is the same one as used in a few others popular games like TF2 and somesuch so its perfectly harmless methinks

It isnt admin admin or admin password, my parents changed the username and details... also im not some 10 year old lol, I just have parents who are overprotective about the internet :D

I'd tell you to do a reset so its admin passwor again but... its way easier to just tell them you need it to play a multiplayer game

Poert forwarding is by definition the act of instructing the router to direct traffic mapped form one port to another.

Without access to the router configuration to perform these instructions, it's NOT possible.

An open port allows traffic through it. Having a port open can be a vulnerability, depending on which and how many ports you have open. As certain traffic is dangerous, from people who have bad intentions.

It's only likely to cause problems if you,re using a common port for exploits and aren't limiting the process or IP that may be authorised to send/receive traffic on that port.
I.e. (exaggerated) but allowing any ip address to communicate with any process via port 8080



A goodrouter or even software firewall should allow you to specify and filter any combination of port, IP (local and server), process/service and if necessary protocol.

OP, what game are you trying to play that requires this? Why not just use hamachi?
