Minecraft SEUS 1.11.2 Shaders low fps?
Okay, first off ,don't hate for me playing minecraft. I played it way back when it was only 2-3 years after release so I kinda play alot.
Anyways, I have a REALLY beefy computer.
I7 6700k
GTX 970
G.Skill Trident Z 16gb 3200mhz ram

With simply optifine on the max settings that optifine provides, i get an average of 500-800 fps. Ocasionally, it reaches 1000 if im standing still.
Without optifine, i get around 300-400 average.
How do i see people with MUCH slower computers run the same shaders i have with much higher fps? Im pretty sure i have the most demanding shaders, but any way i turn down the settings nothing happens in FPS.

Also, Minecraft is on a 500gb Samsung 850 Evo, if that helps.

I heard someone say that Minecraft doesn't usually take advantage of the GPU and runs on the integrated gpu. I tried to fix that with his directions but they made 0 sense at all.

So, you guys got anything?

You played minecraft when you were 2-3 years old

Minecraft is 7 years old, does this make you like 10 or something

You can go into the config using note++ or something and change some rules to false, lower some taxing values etc...

For example, turn down waves, anti aliasing levels and 3d effects.

Turn off V-Sync

My Vsync is obviously off but that only limits my frame rate. I have a 144hz gsync monitor, so doesnt matter if i have it on or off (but i have it off cause i just got this monitor) I have such a beefy computer and yet people on laptops play better than me with shaders. I have heard, however, that shaders are really badly optimized so no matter what your PC specs are, youre gonna get bad frame rate. Im trying to get Minecraft to utilize my GPU because everyone's saying that it's CPU Based and no matter your gpu, as long as you have the same cpu, your frame rate will be the same. Do you know how to make a program use your GPU?

Correct settings with cheaper parts yield good results.

No i mean, how does shaders make me lose over 600fps? Like I mentioned, people have said that shaders are not well optimized. And that MC doesn't usually use your GPU, so thats what im trying to figure out

I was encountering the same fps problems with shaders, and I think it may be that Minecraft only uses a single physical CPU Core. Unless someone makes something to use all CPU Cores, we might as well be doomed. You could try overclocking, but make sure your heatsink is sufficient, and don't overclock if you want to keep your warranty. I have an i7-6800K, and a GTX 1080 Ti. The 6800K doesn't have integrated graphics, so that's likely not the issue. I heard at one point Optifine had a multi-core version, but it was a disaster. I may try an overclock to verify this.

Try turning off mipmap, and anti-aliasing I've noticed that both tend to tank FPS in 1.11.2.

Lol that still won't help even overclocking hardly helped

At this point it is beyond impossible to make the game run in parralel, no one is going to reprogram 3 million lines of code(Although you could write a bahavioral refactor program to implement it, but it depends on how consisten the original code base is). The problem was that minecraft was not deisgned well from the start, as time went on there software only got more and more bloated, not to mention the entire game is written in java using an ancient binding for openGL(So old it was added when all there was was the fixed pipeline, there was much newer versions of OpenGL available but like an graphics programming the newer versions are a lot more complex. The fixed pipeline is esay). Unless you write the software with multithreading in mind from the beginning later on it can become impossible as the fundamental architecture of your engine is made to garuntee there is no race conditions(One thing alsways finishes before another).

Im using SIldur's Vibrant Shaders Extreme Volumetric Lighting now and it runs so smoothly. In a packed multiplayer server im getting 60-100 fps.

I'll have to check those out.

Update: Helps maybe a bit, but I prefer maxing stuff out. Still laggy. Keep in mind my processor is hexa-core.
