I've read that it used to be a pretty good, kid-friendly MMORPG until Disney bought it and turned it freemium, or as I like to say, free-to-pay.

Wow.. Is this real? I was never a fan of Club Penguin, but the game is so old and so influential it's hard to imagine it closing.
