Thoughts on the word "edgy"

I hate it because it seems to have been "adapted" to the people who uses it arguement and it's the stupidest thing ever.
If it's different to what people think it's edgy but if it's not then it's mainstream and terrible. There's no winning.

For Halloween. However it ended up with me feeling much better by wearing it so I wore it.

Same deal with a mask. A mask for halloween should be fine. However, if you are using it to hide away the face, trying hard to scare and intimidate, then it could be considered being edgy. Though that's not really the correct term.

Understand a mask gives you a false feeling of being anonymous. Hense the Anonymous hackers mask. Don't hide behind a mask, if it's due to insecurity and doubt about yourself however. It's much better to face them.

It's the equivalent of Leafy saying ''Literally''.

Overused, and has lost meaning.

What I'd define as edgy is a a dark joke that's been overused to the point where it's not even funny, while the one making the joke still finds it funny.

But a dark joke on it's own isn't edgy, it's just dark, more so when it's actually funny.

dank - similar to dark, however like a cave, it's unpleasantly damp and cold.

So yeah unsettling heavy subject matter, if you like.
