IS PIVOT ANIMATOR SAFE?

Hi, I've recently been wanting to start animation but all I know how to use is pivot animator as I used to play around with it as a kid, please let me know if it contains any malware or anything like that. Thanks.

Ik i'm late to this discussion but the link Bun sent can still give you Malware. I got an Adware and what I think is a Browser Hijacker from installing it, as well as some other programs that I didn't want on my PC. Most of the unwanted programs are easy to remove but the two other viruses, the adware and hijacker aren't as easy to remove. Be Careful!

I appreciate this is an old discussion, but it's always relevant to note that AT ANY TIME anti-virus reports malware (particularly if non-generic identifiers) on what you might otherwise believe to be safe or "legitimate" - all decent security solution providers provide a service to upload detcted files for analysis by their labs in order to verify/confirm the detection in orrder to resolve any false positives.

Therefore, seek a decent anti-malware solution and utilise the service for investigation of suspected false positive detections.

Well, it looks like it's not. It keeps it silent for a minute or so, then it starts to install all kind of software. I was testing it in a sandboxed environment, it downloaded the installer, then it started to install avast antivirus. before I know it, the installation size grew to 650MB.

By the way, yes it asked for if I want to install McAfee, but it didn't asked if I wanted to install avast. I was using the latest version, not the old one. The old one (V2.x) did asked me if I want to instal avast though (which I chose no). Both of those program has downloaded some ads in the system.

Anyway, kind of shady. Be careful.

I don't think so, when I downloaded it a few years ago from the official site, my browser was hijacked with some sketchy browser and it was a hassle getting rid of it.

my av, trend micro also detected a bunch of malware from it, so if I were you, I would not install it.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ its almost 2 years old now and people are still on here, this is for some reason making me happy. If you would like to animate, please go for a safer alternative such as Blender or if you are less experienced and want to be bothered enough to do it frame by frame, use paint.net. When downloading any software please be cautious of what type of malware it may be installing in the background. From downloading the wrong program your system could install a backdoor past your firewall or an IP grabber.
