Why are gaming Youtubers so immensly dense ?
Why are a lot of the top search result Youtubers so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid when playing a game ? They ignore most of what the game tries to tell em to do in order for a certain function to work, barely pay attention to the UI and then continue to talk about how they 'didnt know how to do that stuff'

I mean. Come on, i can understand it a bit of its a new game but even then most of Them Just blatantly ignore the games messages and Just ♥♥♥♥ around like a chicken without a head. Its so painfull and annoying to watch that it makes me stop after one of two video's.

Of course. I need to adapt too to the game's controls but i dont take 5 video's worth of time to figure out the controls and the UI.

Then don't watch it?
I think those "Let's play" vids and so called "Content creators "(which is actually misleading imo because talking ♥♥♥♥ while playing a game is not really productive in my eyes) are overrated anyway.
Why do they get praise for playing video games? Hell, some even make money with this crap.
But .... you know.... I can just avoid them.

i watch them only when they play a game i consider getting, but its a hard time getting to see proper gameplay when the one controlling is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Than the video you should be looking for are first look/quick look not lets play. You are literally looking at the wrong videos for information.
I hate it when they cant stfu in their speedrun or walktrough.

Managing the chat, stream, and game at the same time can a very tiring and exhausting process.

I've had to stream a game for a friend of mine before. Staying 100% on top of communication, making sure that the stream is still okay, and staying 100% on the game, all at the same time, can be an exhausting thing. Doing this for 8 hours a day every weekday is likely something that isn't sustainable for a lot of people, so instead they let themselves relax and be a bit preoccupied with the chat.

For a streamer... Chat interaction, as well as keeping things entertaining (whether keeping a personality or making jokes, etc.), is more important than doing well in a game.

Plus, even though it's "frustrating" to watch, the badness does give extra entertainment in general.

Some of them also do it intentionally as an act.

This video, for example, wouldn't exist if he paid more attention (or wasn't acting, whichever he's doing).

It isn't always that way, though. Some streamers are streamers because they're extraordinarily good at the game. These people typically focus more on the game and less on being "entertaining" because their achievement/gameplay is generally the entertainment. But someone who is less skilled but have a more fun personality is almost always the more popular streamer.

This is why "DarklyPlays", despite getting the Soulless 4 FC first, he currently has 300k views, meanwhile Acai, 1 year later when he got Soulless 4 FC, now has 1.2M views. Both are extraordinarily skilled at what they do. But Acai is more "fun" in the eyes of various people due to his personality. (And yet both of his videos of playing the song "Flamingo" got more than twice the amount of views.)

Edit: Just realized this thread is from 2017, 5 years old. Sorry for the reply, everyone.

My god why????
I hate streamers who play adventure and story games like they play CS GO - constant rapid mouse movements like they are looking next poor thing to shoot and because of that they miss half the important clickable objects in the game.
For those type of content creator, they usually garner to the backseaters who needs to be constantly told they are indeed good at the game
