Grindcore VS. Goregrind
Is there any difference seperating the genres other than lyrical content? Like say we're talking about early Carcass ("Reek of Putrefaction" and "Symphonies of Sickness" for example) would that be grindcore or goregrind? Cause I usually just call it grindcore but I'd like to know if I'm wrong in doing that. Thanks!
EDIT: According to wikipedia "British band Carcass are commonly credited for the emergence of the genre." and also according to a member of a goregrind band: "Musically, there's no real difference between grindcore and goregrind, but lyrically, whereas the first is socially and politically concerned, goregrind, as the name implies, deals with everything related to blood, pathological aspects or accidents with fatal results."[2]. So that kinda answers my question but I'll keep this topic up unless anyone has stuff to add.

I think they're pretty much interchangeable. I'm sure there is some purist out there that will give fifteen examples of how I am wrong.
Medically based horrorcore is the best.
