safe way to make ground/minced beef into rare style burgers?
whenever you grind/mince beef, the bacteria on the surface of the meat that can't penetrate the muscle and go into the centre (which is why beef can be eaten rare style) mixes in with the clean inside muscle, so it's pretty much contaminated and cooking it rare makes it practically unsafe, depending on how much luck god bestows upon you.

what if you sear the meat before you grind it down though? like cook it for a few second untill the surface is clean of any bacteria, so preferebly on a very high heat so it doesn't cook the insides, then put it into the grinder? that should solve the issue of any uncleanness, and you can touch the meat without having to worry about cross contamination from any source. from there, you can shape your burgers however you want and cook them as rare as you fancy, without the unneeded risk. and if you want, you can cut off the seared layer of beef, before grinding it down too.

learn to read, i didn't see a video about the method in the original post, i thought of it myself.

i only saw videos of people cooking burgers rare, and thought that it was unsafe, too.
Now your just being rude. Do what you cause your going to do it anyway. I was being nice and offering help but your to thick headed to understand food safety. I'm done with you. I'm glad i don't have to eat any of the garbage you tried to cook.

i'm not trying to cook anything you silly billy, i'm just thinking about it. in all honesty if i were to cook any meat i'd over cook it untill it's a lump of coal (or as appetizing as one) just to be sure because i'm more than scared of death, just as i'm sure you are.
