European equivalent of Radio Shack?
I live in Belgium, and I want to get into soldering and electronics. Most of the informative content on the internet is made by Americans, who often mention to buy the parts at Radio Shack.

Is there a Mainland Europe equivalent, especially in Belgium?

I'm looking for a physical store instead of an online one.

You're better off buying from the internet, Radio Shack is overrated and over priced and some of those articles you're reading might just be advertisements for Radio Shack.

The problem is that online shops are way too overwhelming. I could walk into a physical store and ask for something simple, cheap, and inquire about anything I need. Not so much with an online store, where I have hundreds of products to choose from, and no one to help me.

They don't have FRY's there? Or like a Home Depot style store there?
find a local radio club and ask them where they get their parts

Yeah this really is the best call. Look offline, share in experience of local people.
