Components to make a simple radio?
I'm working on a project for school, which includes making an FM radio reciever. Could anyone point me towards some simple parts that I could use?

Two specifications:
1. It should have the ability to be tuned by a knob instead of buttons.
2. I have no experience with arduinos, chipsets or making radios, so something simple or with a sufficient amount of explanation or tutourials would be very appreciated.

Simple parts are no problem, here you go. http://electronicsforu.com/electronics-projects/simple-fm-receiver

The language of coding electronic parts is pretty universal. So long as you can order those exact parts and read a schematic, you can put an FM radio together easily as painting by numbers.

Can you read a schematic? I only ask because you want a tutorial instead of a schematic.

Give me an indication of your knowledge level and I can probably point you in the right direction.

This seems fine. I don't recognise some of the symbols, but I can look them up. Would you be fine with me adding you on steam so we can discuss this if I need anything?

Request accepted. I don't have much time tonight, but if you want to discuss anything about this project just send me a message. I'll get to it as soon as I can.
