Starcraft 2/Diablo 3 worth buying now?
Are either of them dead? How much is the playerbase, and are the games themselves fun?I played starcraft 1 and diablo 1&2 in my childhood, want to try out the newer ones.

Starcraft 2 is the most popular RTS in the world.

How long is the story and what can you do after it?

PoE is free and it's one hundred times better than D3.

Diablo 3 is better than Torchlight 2 and PoE. Torchlight 2 is just soulless and I didn't even finish the game before I stopped playing it. Path of Exile has the same issues except it's worse in item section. I used the same weapon from like level 3 to level 11. I don't remember when I ever switched it but it took quite a bit of time.

In Diablo 3 there are quite a lot of things to do. With all enemies having a history lesson it was a lot of fun finding all of these and listening to them.
Combat is the most satisfying part too. They've balanced most classes but some will excel in damage. I believe the Paladin and Monk are currently the most ridiculous high DPS chars out there. Witch Doctor does decent damage end game as well.

The high damage is above 5 to 15 million per hit too or more.

For Starcraft 2. Totally worth it. Music took a bit of a hit though as Starcraft Broodwar music was better.

Far from it.

Starcraft 2 is pretty much better in every way compared to Starcraft 1 (imo), So I would purchase this if you loved Starcraft 1.

Diablo 3 is one of the biggest let downs I've had with a video game and I haven't gone back to it since. I honestly could never quite put my finger on why I didn't like this game as much as I did. It has most of the elements from previous Diablo games but it just didn't feel right to me. The only reason I can think of in my head was the art style being way too "toonish", but I can't see why that would be the reason why I didn't enjoy it.

I've heard from others that the game has become better but I myself can't say for certain that it has. Overall it's hard for me to both recommend and not recommend.

Torchlight 2 is alright but I couldn't engage myself in this either. Not sure about PoE.

They are adding the Necromancer, but it's not an "expansion" in the vein of Reaper of Souls, D2:Lord of Destruction etc. There won't be new story, new game mechanics etc, the DLC is just the Necromancer class and some cosmetics and stash tabs.

I'll take the Necromancer Class with a extra side of Corpse Explosion.

Both are fine and far from dead.

Diablo 3 is pretty fun, has a Seasonal mode that you play after you finish the game. Hardly know what it's for to be honest, you get random missions and have to kill random bosses which goes to some leaderboard so you can have the highest scores or some ♥♥♥♥ like that. I enjoyed it.

But I enjoyed Torchlight 2 more. Very good game, playtime can even be extended with all of the mods it has available, endless possibilities.

I don't know about SC, but about Diablo 3, it is always going to remain bulldung and cr@pfack. Go get yourself Grim Dawn instead, that is the real diablo 3.
