What is the most money that you've wasted on a bad game
I paid $30 for Aliens Vs. Predator from 2010 and it was awful. I liked the first Predator mission and yet it went downhill after that.

The back of the box was false advertisement because it shows a screenshot of the Predator single player campaign, a screenshot of the Alien campaign in the single player campaign, then a screenshot of the Marine gameplay online.

I bought the game expecting a passable single player campaign experience like Call of Duty, instead I got a generic and badly made campaign from the 1990's.

The game was incredibly short and bland. There wasn't even a iron sights add on for the gun on the Marine campaign and the areas were enclosed and bland.

first thing I did in that game was try and figure out how to play without doing any missions.

Just one more pre-adolescent stereotypical story and I am going to loose my mind

Mine was Bio Shock: Infinite. I really wish I had researched it before I bought it. Trash game

I spent 30$ on Minecraft: Story Mode, only to find out I had only bought half the game. The other half was locked in a 15$ DLC. The game was like a kids show, it was horrible.

Hearts Of Iron 3 for around 10$. Not because it is a bad game, no, it is one of the best games in its genre, Unfortunately it doesnt run on my system and the community patch doesnt actually fix anything.

Another one I regretted buying is Minecraft for $20. I thought I'd love it at my age, after I loved Minecraft Story Mode by Tell Tale and I didn't.

I invested a few hours into building my terrible stone house building with no windows. I explored my surroundings found some cool stuff for my traveler, etc, I got bored quickly after that.

I lost interest because I don't really like Art type of building stuff anyway and so I felt out of place with trying to think up what to build.

I bought it and waited for the final 3 episodes. They should have been released for free because to finish the story, you need them.

Yeah, I was laughing at the theme when announced and after I played it, I liked it. I stopped supporting Tell Tale though and their fan boys are Cancerous for sure. That's actually why I left the Tell Tale forums because the mods acted stupid and would hush anyone that talked ill of Tell Tale.

After Wolf Among Us, quality went way down hill in Tell Tale games. Actually it started going downhill during Walking Dead Season 2 and forwards. I've played them all and hated the majority, not kidding, including Game of Thrones, Tales From the Borderlands, The older games of Back to the Future and the story of Jurassic Park were great Tell Tale games.

Though the game that I did regret buy was Minecraft, building version.

Derailing a little bit with my comment, but how the hell is Telltale successful? Mediocre point and click adventures with standard player choice scenarios
