I don't care what it shows; I just can't imagine someone enjoying doing both at the same time.

Unless they're really really bored? I dunno.

How am I suppose to watch TV if I'm playing a game at the same time? This isn't the sort of thing you can multitask on.

I listen to streams or have podcasts running in the background
I'm usually listening to the game's music and sound effects and watching the action on screen. I'm not sure how I would regard a TV as anything more than background noise or a distraction.

None. When I watch TV, I watch TV.

I generally exit the game I'm playing as well -- while the "time played" isn't necessarily 100% correct, I don't intentionally try to trash it.

My TV isn't working. So it's a bit difficult to watch TV while gaming.
But I used to do that.

There are many games that do not require 100% of your attention and if anything interesting happens on the show you can pay attention to that instead. I watched a lot of Critical Role on youtube while grinding on Runescape. Basically any grindy MMOs are good for this (Elite: Dangerous as well), turn-based strategy or RPGs, adventure games, and city builders are also a pretty safe choice.

Also, if you're not going to contribute to the discussion with anything other than your snobbery why even post?
