A question about the Deep Web.
SCROLL FOR TL;DR
EDIT: Just to clarify, I would NEVER go to the deep web just because of the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥ I am. I'm just curious.

Hi there. I'm a 17 year old from the Midwest area, and recently a distant friend of mine went missing. In the investigation, they found that he had been visiting the deep web a lot just prior to his disappearance. Learning this, I've grown a fascination with the deep web. I know a little about the deep web (mainly learned through creepypastas) but I was just curious about the content of it. Is is as much gore sites and red rooms or whatever they're called as they say? or is it mostly fairly harmless arms dealing websites, cults, weird pr0n, drug dealers, and the occasional child trafficking sites?

I'm aware this will attract it's fair share of trolls, but it's 2 AM my time and my mind is wandering, feed me some thoughts

TL;DR

What's it like on the deep web?

(I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT)
It's mostly a black market that people use to make exchanges with bitcoins.

Child trafficking, illegal substances, hacking tools, and random information to be more anonymous.

Some websites on the darkweb can make your computer explode!!!
This is true. Some can overload the RAM. Not really explode, but destroy your hardware.
It's more or less the same old internet, you can watch YouTube, you can view your email's, etc, though, there are some rather darker thing's there, you can imagine, just stick with Google. Your curiosity is irrelevant,

I mean what if OP is a cop or looking for a source of coke?
Isn't deep web just browsing part of the internet where everybody is anonymous and can't be traced??

I disagree
Thats okay, its just the amount of manpower needed to monitor it is insane.

I disagree also simply because the monitoring equipment and manpower is currently in place doing this very thing,
