Old Hack and Slash PC game [Solved - Dark Vengeance]
Hello, everyone. I decided to finally make this thread.

I'm looking for a PC hack and slash game which is pretty old. I used to play a demo of this game when I was a kid. It was a third person hack and slash game with a multiplayer mode. I remember a deathmatch like game mode with weapons all over the map such as axes or crosbows. It was a typical medieval like fantasy game (or at least that's what I remember it to be). You could play as a gladiator guy. When you started a singleplayer game there was a short cutscene where he was doing push ups or something like that. You could play as some chick but I barely remember what she was doing or how she looked like. There was also a third character but I can't remember who was it. I do realize that there might be a lot of games with this kind of stuff but I hope that's enough information for some of you to maybe recognize this game and give me a title. It would be awesome to find that game. If there are any errors, sorry. Not my native language.

My first thought was Rune. Gladiator Deathmatch 3rd person and has a multiplayer. Then there is Severance which might also fit.

I am a fan of any kind of hack and slash, old or new.

I would be keen to find out what this game is you are thinking of since it sounds quite cool.

Two likely incorrect yet enjoyabe games spring to mind regards to your question:

Ive been playing War in The North, recently.
An old lord of the rings hack and slash.

I dont think its exactly what you are thinking of, and tbh it wasnt actually what I thought it was when I started playing lol.
But it is naturally fantasy, has crossbows, different swords, armour etc - Also co op and its really great fun suprisingly, if a little basic compared to modern games but hey its hack and slash.

The only other hack and slash I can think of atm where you specifically play as a roman, and that also has co op is Ryse son of rome.
The campaign is ok and semi expected but it has a cool online arena battle mode against npc with fatalities etc - you and another player which is quite cool.
Its quite a pretty looking game on a decent rig, but it isnt old:

Those are very similar games. Well, if no one will be able to find the game I have in mind, at least there will be a lot of similar games that I might try since I never played them.

Iron Phoenix, I will definitely check some gameplays of Ryse and War In The North even if I'm sure it's not what I was looking for. I'm glad you guys are interested in this thread.

I'm starting to think that the game I'm looking for is some really rare and forgotten stuff. It was a game from a cd which was basically a compilation of demos.

I'm looking for an old hack and slash game from 90/2000. Back in the day 4k would considered as a technology of aliens. Read the first post.

I knew Die By The Sword before. Blade The Edge Of Darkness looks interesting, however it's not that.

Duel and deathmatch are not the same thing. We are talking about a deathmatch with a map for at least 4 people and weapons laying around for you to pick up.

This is bugging me because I remember playing a game like this too >:/

Wish I could remember it. I knew there was XS, a shooter, that was the same style perhaps the developer of it made the medieval one?
Iron Phoenix 23/abr./2017 às 12:00
Was it this one maybe?

Gladiator: Sword of Vengance

Shadow of Rome
