Games that you consider masterpieces and why?

I belive that games are art but there is also games that are masterpieces and I would love to know what games you think are masterpieces and why. The games I find are masterpieces are Bioshock infinite because Its story and scenery and I love spec ops the line Its story is just amazing it has great plot twist and more then one ending and It has a beautiful scenery

Fun, interesting story (unlike all other Bethesda Fallout games), VERY replayable, moddable, and addicting.

-invention of new game plus but encourages replaying via new game plus with multiple endings

Yes!
Fallout 1&2, both real masterpieces!

Played through the first last week, now playing the second! Intelligence+perception-heavy character.

Despite the bugs, they are very deep games with multiple styles to play.

Second comes Betrayal at Krondor.

I really most of the time play FPS-games but most I see as masterpieces are RPGs.
-Baldur's Gate
-Planescape Torment
-Ultima IV-VI
-Dungeon Master
Etc...

I might get fallout 1 and 2 over summer sale

Mirror's Edge to be honest

For it's time it had ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing graphics and was one of the best parkour games to ever exist. Story was great and the actual performance of the game was good and pretty realistic.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. mainly because it's white wolf's "world of darkness" setup - no sparkling vampires, modern times add to intensity and in-game community (fractions) seem to be realistic. the story is also nice but i won't spoil that.

i also REALLY like diablo2, world of warcraft, warcraft III, fallout 1&2 and few other isometric rpgs

It looks pretty sick that game never played sadly

Wolfenstein combines great story with awesome weaponry and gore. The old blood is amazing as well. Easter eggs are always present and really fun. A real gem on this store.

wolfenstein looks great I cant play it tho cus i am german and you kill germans in that game but the game is pretty cool tho yes
