Fun, interesting story (unlike all other Bethesda Fallout games), VERY replayable, moddable, and addicting.
Such an innovative feel to the rpg hack and slash genre that would later spawn a whole bundle of games much like it, including the subgenre "soulslike" games.
Before Halo went to complete ♥♥♥♥ thanks to 343 it used to the king of FPS games
lmao
Not my favourite game of all time but it is easily one of the most polished and well thought out video games out there. It's actually quite difficult to find any negative reviews that aren't ironic.
The game has a perfect amount of challenge, it is well paced, the story and lore both interesting and charming while at the same time not being forced down your throat. It has a good coop mode, a nice easy to use level editor. The community that works on mods are very passionate and talented and most importantly, the game is both original, creative and fun.
The only flaw I can think of from the top of my head was that the game featured micro transactions in the form of cosmetics but thankfully Valve never really went far with this.
