Psychobilly.

I wouldn't say many of these genres are known by most people or have mass appeal and I say this as a person who likes electro swing and "avant-garde" metal. Jazz does make sense though and it's a shame more people don't truly appreciate it.

Who said anything about most people or mass appeal?

OP said genres that people know but don't get a lot of attention, they also give an example of pan flute bands which most people are aware of but don't really pay attention to. That makes me assume that they're talking about genres that most people are aware of but don't really give much attention.
Hank Hell May 21, 2017 @ 1:41pm
Jazz Fusion

And people know these genres of music being talked about in the thread, in an of the fact that they're even talked about in the thread, and in general do not get a lot of attention.

:3 Indeed. I like this one in particular:

Synthwave, Minimal, Breakbeat, IDM, Electro Swing, Neoclassical, Drone and Industrial. I guess some folk music is nice too, but often overlooked.

Elwood is one of (if not) the best tracker musicians out there, and this is his best track by far. My jaw dropped when I first heard this, it's insane.
