Games with great/emotional storyline?
Hello! I was just curious if anyone can recommend some games (available here on Steam) that has a great storyline that is also emotional (or atleast makes you really sucked up into the story)

I've already played a few games like:
-Life is strange
-Spec Ops: The Line
-To the Moon
-Sleeping Dogs (Underrated game and story)
-The Wolf Among Us
-INSIDE
-Little Nightmare's

I've planned on starting The Walking Dead (Telltales)

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Anything by Yoko Taro. This includes games in the Drakengard/NieR series.

I'm also interested in this topic. I would include:

*The Cat Lady
*Downfall
*Undertale ( What are you waiting for? : - )
*Nier: Automata
*Guardians Of The Galaxy

So NieR Automate actually has a good stoyline? I've heard a lot about the game, but I thought that was mainly for the cool combat and the rare end of the protagonist. Might have to give it a second look then!
wow, good thread

I'd check out other games in the Drakengard and NieR series as well. Just avoid Drakengard 2 - Yoko Taro had little to do with that one, and so its story is... well, just too colorful!

The Drakengard/NieR series has a rather convoluted storyline, but there are connections. There are definitely some things one might miss or not fully appreciate in NieR: Automata if one isn't familiar with the lore. Just remember that the NieR series follows the Drakengard series.

One can catch up on the lore up to but not including NieR: Automata with this very well done video. Obviously spoilers if one wishes to play the previous games, but there are none for NieR: Automata.

Cities: Skylines... Jk, 'A story about my uncle' was a great game with a pretty decent story.
