Ghost/Dead accounts

Sometimes Im browing and I come across profiles that have been inactive for years and I cant help but feel a twinge or sadness. Like what happened to them? Did they pass away? Or was it
circumstantial?

some people aren't hardcore gamers/have funding to play/have time to play all the time. the real world exists, and gamers are a minority.

Probably they forgot their account. I mean they can just email support but Its likely they're dead.

on that note here's a Steam Gothic prose:

you see an account that's been inactive for about 4 years- based on their comments and things they seem to have been very social- this is basically a confirmed deceased account holder

then one day you happen upon it again- what's this...

i joined steam many, many years ago. unfortunately, i cannot remember the email/steam username i used so i created another one (my current one).

i used to have tons of email addresses from yahoo, eudora, etc, for prawn, different chatrooms, and correspondence.

now i have maintained only a few email addresses (correspondence, steam/other gaming platforms, tech forum) to combat my forgetfulness.

Same. I made one to test a game server and when I the pirate server got sized I didn't bother to login again.

Also Made one a while back to play a f2p with my friends, really wish I could see them again.
