1 being terrible and 10 being the best possible desktop build ever i would give you about a 6.5 :) the best way to get more performance out of computer for a small cost would be to overclock your processor, but yea the 8gb of ram is a nice touch :D i have 6 and half the time only 2 or 4 of it works :p

Graphics card is SUPREMELY lacking and not really meant for gaming.

Other then that its decent..

low for gaming

you could build your own for less if you dont mind assembling it and installing windows yourself

cpu, 6
ram, 6 8g is enough but 1333 is pretty slow for a new system
hdd, 5 no ssd
odd 5, no bluray
gpu, 3 better than any intel but not good enough for games on med-high
psu, if its under 600w you cant put a good gpu in it without upgrading it first
case, room for a big gpu and multiple hdd/ssd

Treat yourself to a new Nvidia 660ti GTX graphics card

1333 pretty slow? There is no noticable difference between 1333 and something with 2000.
I'm running 1333 as well and I'm everytime the first person on the map (on every, but sometimes not, if I sleep) in Battlefield 3 so what the ♥♥♥♥.
PS: They even censored my f.u.c.k at the end, lol.
PS#2: SSD's? Look what I said before. They are wasting of money, I don't have a SSD and my computer still boots up in under 30 seconds (completely loaded, on the destkop).

Actually yes there is, there is a significant difference between 1333 and 2000 in a variety of applications (in fact, I have a program that requires 4000Mhz dual or 2000Mhz quad channel memory in order to run optimally), there is an even greater difference if you are using an APU. However, 1333 isn't inherently bad. How fast you load a map has little to do with RAM speed, and more to do with hard drive read speed. Memory speed only affects the latency in which your RAM can send and receive data to and from the CPU, so if you run any programs that are constantly accessing the contents of RAM you will want fast memory.

GPU is really bad. It's not a question of quality, some games won't even run on it (like Witcher 2 or Just Cause 2), or will go very slow even on lowest settings (Civilization 5, Battlefield 3).
All other parts are good enough for modern games.

And you didn't mentioned price, maybe if it's very cheap, you shouldn't care about GPU now, and just replace it later...

booting from a ssd will speed everything up alot
some 10k rpm drives are pretty close to sata2 max (3g/s)
most spinning drives cant even fill up sata1 (1.5g/s) bandwidth
many newer ssd drives can use most of the sata3 (6g/s) bandwidth

hdd comp chart pcmark 7 storage

ssd comp chart pcmark 7 storage
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/ssd-charts-2011/PCMark-7-System-Storage,2804.html

even the fasteset hdd is slower than the slowest ssd tested

and for the price/vs preformance on ram, its only about $4 to go from 1333 to 1600 for most 4g kits

Low speed Ram, you should get at least an 1600Mhz kit, and 560Ti would be a lot better.

I got it for 565$

Gpu upgrade is needed, everything else is optional. Arma 2 does not look nice any lower than high graphics but you haven't broken the bank have you. Just bear in mind that gaming is one of the most demanding things to do on a pc.

Noob question of the day, Gpu is the graphics card right?
Nickolaeris 12/set./2012 às 22:35
Yup, GPU = Graphics Processing Unit
