I was a bit bummed after getting a 4090 and seeing the 60 fps wall too in Cyberpunk. Granted, I think the game could be optimized more to squeeze out another 10-20 frames, but maybe not...

u know i dont think i ever actually posted mine here, just joke posts lol. so ill put it here :) i really like this machine, idk where id be without it

HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF from 2011, with:
-Intel i7-2600
-8 gb ram
-Nvidia MSI GT 1030 Low Profile OC DDR4
-4 tb Seagate Exos, dual boot on the same drive with Mint Mate (i picked the Mate version because apparently it uses less cpu and gpu) and Windows 7 (yea yea i know old insecure windows, cringe)
-matching silver and black HP keyboard and mouse, and HP Elitedisplay E221 (generic 1080p office monitor)
-Sennheiser GSP 301 phones, i picked it because it was good value with good sound quality. most phones at its price have low-end sound with bluetooth and stuff making the price higher
-it has an internal disc drive but i keep it disconnected and use an external one instead lol. i dont want it to use electricity always running. external connected with usb seems to be the best way to handle discs
-crappy ebay fake xbox360 controller with mad stick drift for gta lol

this thing really carried me and is always easy and reliable, and hearing it running next to me is always soothing, if it was sentient id kiss it to let it know i love it. im dreading when HL3 comes out and i have to buy something else to be able to play it. im seriously thinking at that point i might buy a pc for that, and then sell it again when im done... idk how viable that is (money is tight)

There are some operating systems that can run without a storage drive, because they can run entirely in system RAM
