i purchased an rtx 2080 ti in 2019. before that i tested several different desktops with 1070 and 1080 and 1080 ti. think i tried them. many of those pcs was asus and they crashed every day.

150 USD for an RX 590 is a bit overpriced, on the used market you can usually get faster cards for the same price or less like the GTX 1080

Also it's GDDR5, not DDR, big difference because GDDR is much faster than DDR for graphics applications than standard DDR type memory

Also rx 590 was never high end.
So I would have only paid 80 or less cause amd dropped support.

Plays 1440 well considering it is a budget card, fallout 76 1440, GTA V 4k, The eldar scrolls 4K, battlefield 2042 1440.

I see your point with driver support but for the price you get a card that can perform well in all current games and talking about features in the video the card does support the latest FSR2 as can be seen in age of empires. Also the exact price would be closer to 105USD.

They said that their RX 590 cost them 1000$ less than a 4070, not that it cost 1000, and they also said it only cost them 150

I think the problem is that you're having a hard time reading.
