Sucks! You should have go for AM5
didn't want to spend money on a new motherboard + ram.
I have one with a rtx 4070 and there is no issues.
Some people just like to waste money.
yep i tend to think about economic longevity of my components.
some parts like the motherboard, ram, my monitor and 1tb ssd are like 5-6+ years old
Only time when I upgrade is when needed and not wanted.
That is the best way to treat your wallet and that is a good way if you are in a relationship that it will not cause issues. Like my saying if you are happy with it is what matters. Who cares if it's old.
Old don't always mean bad.
You did not mention it was a partial upgrade. In that case, yes its a nice and superb PC for another couple of years!
I would laugh if anyone who has 4070 and better still plays games at 1080p
i could kind of see an argument for the 4070 since AAA slop with ray tracing demands a lot from your hardware but like 4070 super and up hell no.
Cause 12gb is budget.
16gb is normal.
I recommend 4080 for 1440p.
4070 and 4070 super can have issues in 1440p on some games due to vram.
Also I only paid 400 usd for the gpu new.
No where near 1000.
