:smilekit: We have 7 PC's in the house but only 4 are normally turned on. I saw this and laughed because I thought 7 was too many but maybe it's just right.

1 of them is an FX 8370 with 32GB ram and 2x R9 390X 8GB in crossfire, my older 2016 Steam gaming PC now to kids. I actually wore out NVME drive on that PC and had to replace it, it was a Samsung SM951 512GB.

My current PC is 5950X with 64GB ram and 3060Ti but I am currently building a 7950X with 64GB DDR5 and have yet to buy videocard been trying to get 7900 XTX.
i actually have 15 pcs but some are in storage or torn apart
I made a change because the price was too tempting...

What are some of the common things people use to stress/stability test systems these days? Is it still Prime95 or is there something else?

Time to get a monitor!
I kind of need a GPU much more than/before that.
Litrally just bought a new pc,
current is
i5 6400
16gb 2133mhz,
450w psu
1060 6gb

just ordered like 5 min ago,

ryzen 7 5700x ( with liquid cooler)
x570
32gb 4000mhz
850w 80+gold psu

then going to use my 1060 for the next few weeks until I get a 3080

How is the b350 motherboard I remember right it doesn't like high end cpus like that cause that motherboard is limiting it.
It comes down to whether the VRMs on a given board will handle the power needs of a given CPU. I'm not sure whether that particular board will be a good fit for a 5900X in that regard, mind you. But whether it will or not has nothing to do with neither the chipset itself or some arbitrary term of what the CPU is considered.
Upgrading from ASUS TUF A17 1660 Ti Graphics with 16GB ram

would this build work and what would the results be
GPU - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle OC 12GB (rev.2.0)
CPU - AMD RYZEN 5 7600 AM5 Socket
MOBO - Gigabyte B650m DS3H (AM5 Socket)
RAM - Vengance 32GB DDR5 Ram 5200MHZ
PSU -Gigabyte P750GM 750 W
Cooling - Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240L RGB v2 240mm Aio Liquid CPU Cooler
Casing - Coolermaster Masterbox MB520 ARGB Desktop Mid tower Case

Advice and Honesty would be appreciated please

The reason why I asked was cause I had the same B350 board use had and when upgrading from 2400g to 3800x I could tell and then when I bought a x570 I can clearly see a difference.
Only matters with high end cpus.
I am pretty sure it is good with ryzen 3 and ryzen 5 but not ryzen 7 or ryzen 9.
The asus b350 strix I am talking about cause I own that motherboard.
Giving it to my dad.
But as long as the user is not picky like am the pc runs fine for the user then it's ok.
I have B350 X470 and X570 all by asus.
One strix and both are crosshair.
Yeah, I wasn't saying that particular board would handle a 5900X well (nor that it wouldn't).

I was just saying the chipset wouldn't be a factor in if it could or couldn't, and a CPU being "high end" is an arbitrary thing and also wouldn't be a factor one way or another. It's all about power draw of the CPU (which "higher end" ones tend to require more of, but it's still an arbitrary reason as far as "will it work well" because when, say, a 5900X slips from being high end, it's not going to suddenly work any easier on a board it currently doesn't, because its power needs won't lower over time like its public status will).
