Oh also as to power I have a 1200 watt power supply so power is not a problem.

I have tried opening the case about 2 inches both front and back. I also tried removing the front door completely as both front and back are on hinges and use magnetic locks to remain closed. My actual temps went up around 2c when I did any of the above. The case really directs the air flow over the components quite well when it's all closed up.

After a bit of a delay I finally got my new system complete. My power supply, while it did fit in the 011D Evo was a little tighter than I liked so I ordered another case. Over all I'm very happy with the results. Idle temps on the cpu/gpu are around 30c and just over 50c while gaming, a fair bit better than the 5950x/3090 I was running.

With a 4090 and a 13900K, you're going to want a 1200W PSU, ideally something higher end like SeaSonic's PRIME PX or something similar.

Well it's a 24 core CPU so that's to be expected. I'm after raw performance so it'll be perfect for me.

Obviously it's not a CPU you'd want to use for gaming, it's completely overkill.

I picked up one off Newegg along with an MSI MPG Z790 Carbon motherboard. Need to get a new PSU, and that's about it.

You'd be surprised but the workloads I do. I'll take as many cores and threads possible for the right amount of money.

Using it to watch Netflix and play CSGO

Was a believable unbelievable troll till you got to your memory capacities (both RAM and storage).

Do you really think that in 3 CPU generations and 2 GPU generations we will be to 512GB of system ram and PB's of storage? Nah.

Would have been realistic (kinda) at 2x64, 4x32, or maybe 4x64, with a (or multiple) large multi-TB SSD, think 8 or 16TB.

Kinda hard to resist with the deals right now. I never thought that I would want a 3090 but the prices keep dropping! Getting harder and harder to resist! I see my getting one if price keeps shrinking!

i got a 3080 12g to go with my 12700k, it monsters any game at 1440/165hz so not gonna bother going higher unless i go to a 4k/144 monitor.
