Ya having to deal with all those extra cables is a pain in the ass that's why I went with the InWin Saturn fans for my case but I was thinking I might try out the Uni for my next build.

Edit: this is my old build. My new loop is not done.
nice, also i edited my comment above..
By default 6 or 8 hdd slots + 6 ssd slots.
The one I mentioned would be a gaming pc and streaming pc, but the bottom extension could be for a small server if it had the mounting for it.
Tho, I guess I could use my current (rosewill b2 spirit) for a server, it has 14 or 15 slots for drive space (don't remember off hand).

i have one of those in mine, used maybe 3 times in 4 years and now it doesnt work anymore... actually had to unplug it from the pc, cause it was causing the pc a boot issue.
didnt notice you said "external", no mine was an internal, cant believe it broke with almost no use...
Really? The next RTX Series PCIE 5.0 will not be backwards compatible with Gen 4.0 or under? That is dumb. Won't Nvidia lose a lot of business this way?
I am interested to see what products Nvidia actually releases at the beginning of the year. I did hear of the 3090Ti but I also heard that they were going to release a 'Super' line of the 30 series cards, along with re-releasing the 2060, which I think is a strange move. I also heard they were going to release a 16Gb version of the 3070Ti. I think that would be a good move. I think the 3070Ti is an underrated card, but I think what people were disappointed about with it was the price/performance difference compared to the vanilla 3070. The move to GDDR6X was good, but I do feel that they could have increased the amount of Vram as well. Maybe 16Gb is overkill but even matching the 3080 with 10Gb, along with that GDDR6X memory would have made the 3070Ti a much better card. I like my card, but I am still waiting for my EVGA Step-up to the 3080. If it ever happens. It should, I am in the queue, lmao.
And if the 40 series cards require a new motherboard, and won't be backwards compatible with 4.0 or lower, well that is a bad move if you ask me. I don't know what is wrong with Nvidia lately. Ever since their stock price has gone through the rough, they think they can do what they want. They pretty much can but they need stop acting like they can't produce GPUs and get them made already. I always had Nvidia GPUs because I like the overall feature set you get with Nvidia but my next build is gonna be AMD, lol. For CPU AND GPU!!
