and from when where the benchmarks? from the time when the 1060 3GB was just released. those times are long over.
I've got both the 3GB and the 6GB; that's about right in terms of performance; 1060 3GB is ~970/780 performance and 1060 6GB is ~780Ti/980 performance on average. And they are both great cards for 1080p gaming in either DX11 or DX12. BLUF: GTX 970 22 game average FPS: 75, GTX 1060 3GB: 78, GTX 1060 6GB: 86, O/C GTX 970: 84.
It's a great card, and you are smartly getting your money's worth.
