PS many of the retro games I am talking about is not sold on steam.
I've yet to come across a game that runs on 7 but doesn't run on 10 because of the OS itself. 9 times out of 10 when someone claims it doesn't run on 10, someone else gets it running on 10 with minimal effort.
Also that's not really how PCI-e support works. AMD initially planned on giving firmware-side PCI-e 4.0 support but it's only partial support and does not have the actual bandwidth. The hardware itself (the slot) is still only PCI-e 3.0 with a bandwidth limit on par with 4.0 x8 when running a 16 lane card, which is part of why AMD scrapped that plan for B450 and X570, aside from the fact that vendors would've had to cut legitimate features out of their microcode for a pseudo-feature. It's nothing more than a placebo.
What works on win 7 does not on win 10 otherwise I would have stick with it. I had one out of 2 .iso that would either bug/crash or not launch. I'd say only 60% of what runs on 7 runs on win 10 (I mean one of the 17 versions of win 10) out of the box, which was too annoying to manage, that's why I ditched win 10. Dual boot is already annoying sometime, and triple boot, well, I was never booting win 10 because 0 interest in dx12 titles, and genrally slower perf on my rig. As surprising as it may sound, linux runs better old 32 bit games than win 10. But most programs and old games don't run on it at all, and when they do run there are often data corruption/bug that make the game impossible to complete... But I got use to it. Except vista which was running almost everything from XP outside of Microsoft's own games like age of empires 2 xD It's a tradition from Microsoft, to have regressive downward compatibilities. With all the mystics of people thinking ticking a box of compatiliblity on the executable will make it run... which never ever worked. Except for few titles which are exclusive to win 10 but runs on vista's framework fondation.
Sorry for digressing btw.

If you have 2 and usng 2 you are really only using one cause 40 series does not support NVLink or SLI.
https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/GeForce-RTX-4070-VENTUS-2X-12G-OC
And the old hack for SLI support is now dead and too bad Nvidia killed that hack.
I remember pairing old None supported SLI cards and used the hack and take about a performance jump.
That trick is now dead.
