It's bigger than 3% and AMD isn't worth it. I ditched them because of problems with their design and firmware, they changed too much too quickly and it keeps Intel ahead.

Both have pro's and con AMD is better for workstation and gaming but Intel is better for gaming. But on a overall basis the AMD is better because for say the 5950X is great at both gaming and work stuff, were as the i9 12900K is more just for gaming.

Every work example I saw the i9 12900k was at least on par with the 5950x.
