Then there are the laptops, main, work, GF, trash (kept in car).
Then there are the spares/extras/need to sell/giveaway/etc (about 10+)
Then there are the parts and such, RAM, GPU's etc. Mostly older, but all still usefull in their own rights (16GB ddr3 for eg, or top of the line AGP cards for P4 era builds).
I probably have too much old tech haha.

As I wrote in reply begin, that's just few of my computers; also I have some old notebooks. But I didn't mention them in my reply, because I don't wanna post too long message.
I own three PCs. One is my "actual PC" for for lack of better words. It is my tower at my desk. Another (an old Dell small form factor) is connected to a TV and is used for streaming, as I have no live TV service. So it's basically my HTPC or "TV service box" of sorts. It also used to see occasional PC use, mostly in the past when a family member visited before he started bringing his own PC with him as it was now better than it. My third is a laptop I very seldom use.
Other roles people may use a PC for is as a NAS (usually when multiple PCs and users exist in the home or when storing lots ot data, especially video, that they either want access to from multiple devices or just don't want it on a local PC only), "secondary PCs", especially common when having one as a snapshot of an older era (think "retro PCs"), some even use them as routers.
