I was talking about ps5 and xbox series x. Those use ryzen 2700x. Just lower clocked. New consoles will make you jaw drop.
Consoles are nothing compared to pc. All consoles play at low settings. Pc ultra/max settings looks much beter consoles will never have such amazing graphics ad pc because pc are upgraded each year with new cpu ram and graphics cards. You will never get as good graphics on consoles as on pc. Since i play max settings 1440p i already play with jaw dropping graphics. Especialy in games like Gears 5 that i finished yesterday and spyro the dragon 2 that i also finished yesterday or star wars jedi fallen order that now iam continuing playing since i stopped it play gears 5.
Consoles don't actually play at low settings, most AAA games on console especially the One X and PS4 Pro are played on a mix of Medium and High settings without Ani-Aliasing and things like that. The new consoles coming out next year have some pretty insane specs that have been leaked, a 2700x paired with a new AMD GPU that supports not only Ray Tracing but I believe is said to be better than Navi GPUs like the 5700 and 5700XT. Next gen consoles are set to be some serious power houses. Consoles may be nothing compared to good PC's but not even going to lie to you, your PC is pretty much on par with current consoles like One X and PS4 Pro and next year when the new ones come out they'll have a hefty, hefty bump over your PC. Your 1700 may have been good 3 years ago and the 970 was mediocre 5 years ago but the 1700 was pretty much outdated the second it dropped and the 970 was one of, if not the most hated card of the 9 series line up. I get where you're coming from trying to always justify your computer, It's no big deal, it's what you have and use, if it works for you that's all that matters. But just because you've built one or two of your own PC's doesn't make you an expert on all things PC and tech, you're always in here not just boasting about your outdated build but on occasion recommending builds/upgrades to other users. You have said a lot of pretty wrong things on here, recommending builds with outdated overpriced parts, recommending crappy configurations, etc. If you can't even take the time to do research on something before you start writing or dissing it why even bother.

Most games even on the original Xbox One and PS4 run at high settings. It's just the resolution that gets bumped down.

The new consoles are going to be extremely powerful for the price. It'll definitely be better than what you have for sure, but that's not really a huge feat since your PC is on the lower end.

You need to do more research because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

I will continue upgrading my pc like i has been doing for 23 years so it will be much better than consoles. Ps4 was released in 2014. At the time of ps4 release i upgraded from gtx 560 ti to gtx 970 so i had a better graphics card than it when it reeleased. At that time i had also better cpu and ram than it as i had core i5 2500k and 12 gb 1600 mhz. When ps3 and 360 released in 2006i got athlon x2 and geforece 7900 gt then upgraded to 8800 gt in 2007 so my pc also was better than these consoles at their release date.(ps3 360) In 2004 when the famous doom 3 released that no console of that time could run at max settings only xbox could run at low settings i upgraded to athlon xp and geforce 5700le that made again my pc better than ps2 and xbox too. See no matter what consoles do i will be ahead of them.

There were a few that I had to shake my head on, but I don't think even once you've recommended an SSD, it's a must have in any computer today. The one you recommended earlier wasn't bad but it wasn't great either, mainly unnecessary or overkill components. The 3600 and RTX 2060 Super is a good budget build however a 750w PSU is complete overkill you could run that system all day long on a 550w, X570 is unnecessary and expensive, B450 is all you need, a 4TB HDD with no boot SSD or anything?? For a gaming system a 500GB to 1TB SSD for your boot and a 2TB Storage drive are all you need. If it were a gaming/ video editing or a 3D modeling rig the extra storage would be ideal but not for just a gaming rig. I didn't say they were all the way crap just crappy configurations. The fact that you haven't tested or done research on a lot of the things you say or recommend is a big deal too, just watching youtube videos and building a couple computers years ago doesn't just make you a technician or an authority on building PCs.

With how big games are becoming nowdays having a 4b or higher HDD is a must. SSD are too expensive for anything higher than 1 TB. I just checked prices
A 2TB 970EvoPlus costs 425 euros right now as is the fatest SSD. Whilw the 4 tb hdd that i boguht in 2017 costs only 172 which why i bought it then instead of 1 or 2 tb ssd. Can you imagine when the pci 4.0 ssd release? How much more expensive will they be compared to curent fatest 2 tb ssd? That why until their prices drop i will not recomend to any of my friends or anyone who asks me to recomend him/her pc parts. Why x570 is uneccesary?
TIGGER 2019 年 12 月 23 日 下午 3:23
If you have the money to build a high spec Ryzen rig, why would you not use a x570 board?

Would you buy a ferrari and have a ford fiesta motor put in it?

Why need a 500gb for boot? i have a 256 ssd and still have 190gb free. I agree on the 2TB ssd for gaming drive thhough, and a 2TB WD black for everything else. I don't put crap like videos, music etc on my boot drive though, it is for windows only

Again you do no research or even listen. I said a 500Gb to 1TB SSD for the BOOT drive so windows, applications, and a few games. A 2TB STANDARD HDD as well for mass storage like big games that don't benefit from SSD speeds and so on. So you'd have about 3TB of storage 1TB being Solid State I doubt anyone would have a problem with that much space on a gaming PC most people don't install their entire library. And in your country SSDs may be expensive but for the most part they have dropped significantly everywhere else 1TB NVMe SSDs are $120, 512GB NVMe SSDs are $60, 2TB Sata SSDs are around $180, and 1TB Sata SSDs are $80, you just have to know where to look and what brands to get, when you actually do this for a living you figure it out pretty quick. Also you mentioned "when gen 4 ssds are released". Gen 4 SSDs have been out since X570, and they aren't too much more than regular NVMe drives, there is a definite price bump but not as much as you'd think. As for X570 motherboards, they're expensive and on the "cheap" ones they have little to no features, they're pretty basic. The 3600 is a great budget CPU and if you're building a budget or even a mid range build and don't want to pay $150 plus for an X570, get a B450 like the Tomahawk or Steel Legend, they're in most cases $50 to $70 cheaper and can run the 3600 perfectly fine plus have extras like RGB headers, extra USB ports and bios flashback abilities, etc. Ask anyone who builds computers for a living if you're doing a budget or mid range build and don't need Gen 4 pcie, B450 is the platform of choice at least until B550 comes out.

I'm done, I already know he's going to come back with some more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I just don't know how to explain it to him, the language barrier and lack of knowledge are tough to get passed. I'd rather just take a seat in the back and watch him argue with others again.

Some ssd are cheapert han others but that depends on the model. I used as example the 970 pro which is the fatest ssd currenly but yes ohter ssd not as fast cheaper but still they are much more expensive than hdd.

the person who made this thread literally said "Got a new system that you want to show off to the steam community? Or perhaps you're just a home user who plays recreationally? Why not post it in here to share & compare with other members of the Steam community!" its just a thread where you can share your pc
