Builds top tier system.... slaps a budget board in it... LMAO
that's something i'd do being honest, at least it isn't a h110m-e
That's true lol... but still, spends all that money on a 9700k and 2080ti but get's a meh board... makes me cry a little bit every time I see something like that.

makes sense but sometimes people don't want or need super fancy high end motherboards, just something that'll reliably fit their gpu, cpu and such.

then again, this is coming from a guy with no taste.

well the main thing is that its an 9700k, not being overclocked, and his ram, which unless im wrong, cant even run at the speed he posted since its a b360. its cringy.

Exactly! The motherboard is holding the system back.

Another new build:

Phanteks Enthoo Primo
Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming
Ryzen 7 2700X
Crucial Ballistix 4x 8GB @ 3000MHz
Gigabyte Radeon VII fitted with a CoolerMaster vertical GPU mount
EVGA SupaNova 1000 G2

Custom water loop: mix of hard/soft tubing.
ThermalTake W1 AM4 CPU Waterblock
EKWB Full cover Radeon VII waterblock
EKWB Radeon VII backplate
EKWB SE360 Radiator
EKWB SE240 Radiator
2x Barrow DDC pump/Reservoir combo's
4x Corsair ML120 fans on radiators
2x Corsair ML120 fans in bottom for intakes

Samsung 960 Evo 250GB M.2 NVMe drive (Win10, Games)
Samsung 970 Evo 500GB M.2 NVMe drive (Games)
2x Toshiba 1TB 5400rpm 2.5" hard disk (Media, download drives)
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm 3.5" hard disk (Game backups now in an external case)

Samsung 4k 28" monitor
Logitech G602 mechanical keyboard
Logitech G402 mouse
Logitech X52 H.O.T.A.S
Logitech Flight Pedals
Creative Inspire T6300 5.1 speakers

Motherboard BIOS has been updated to support Zen2 and Gigabyte has also seen fit to update the board for PCIe Gen4 support.
Made my own sleeved extensions.
Done some minor mods to my case: The interior was orange so stripped it out and painted it white and removed the optical drive bays (also means I have no 3.5" drive bays as well). Also had to remove some metal from the rear expansion slots to accomodate the vertical GPU mount.

Bad news amd isn't making older amd4 mobo with pci-e gen 4 they stopped it.
Proof here.

That sucks about the lack of PCIe Gen4 support (well, not really). Thanks for the link.
