AMD is much more cost friendly
Video card is overkill a cheeper Alt would be a 500 or 600 series.
$132usd for a case is alot, see if you can find a cheaper case for around $50usd
look for a better ram kit, 1600 cl11 is slower than 1333 cl9 kit
to compare ram speed / cl = value (higher = better)
psu is awesome, but you can go cheaper if you need
xfx550-750w has been farily cheap and is still made by seasonic
ssd isnt necessary but will speed up windows and games installed on it
120g ssd should be under $100usd
where do you live, or what sites/stores are you able to get parts from?
graphics will be dumbed down some compared to pc vers but still play good for much less

Something like this could do it better than console, though you might want to get a better 80 Plus bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum certified PSU because it will end up saving you $ on electricity.

damn rove you are a hero!
yes the speed is twice what ddr2 800 is, but the timings are still alot higher than ddr2
if you cant find a haswell build that cheap, do an ivy i3 instead, better upgrade options and as good as the 6300 in games
the 7790 is a joke compared to the gtx760
even 2x 7790 in crossfire is still slower than the gtx760
see what parts you can find over there for cheap
haswell i3s are out too, and are cheap here around $130
and you can get a lower b85 board
if your getting it built in the us, aim for something like this

Higher $ prices compared to US are because of your location.
This PC would cost about $1000 in US.
What posters above dont take into account is that PC parts outside US cost lot more.
Tell him to go with cheaper case like Cooler Master K-280 and let him take out the SSD, that would shave around $200 off the cost.
