120hz 2ms monitors?
I've searched newegg looking for the monitor of my dreams but can't quite find it. Maybe you guys could help?

I want a 120hz monitor but I also really want a fast response time, 2ms or less. Also I feel like my ideal monitor would be 24" or so.

It seems I don't have much choice. It's between the BenQ monitors and a select few ASUS and Acer monitors.

I've read reviews and none of these seem to perform very well outside of gaming. Most of the negative reviews will say how the image fall off is appalling (even from straight on) and the colors are awful. (I don't pay attention to dead pixel reviews, that can be fixed through RMA)

Also the contrast rates seem pretty low, for modern monitors.

Is this just stuff I'll have to deal with to get a fast response time and refresh rate? I'm not really interested in 3D at the moment.

then why an 2ms response rate ? , why not go for a 5ms ?

response times are a crapshoot anyway , as they are all done a bit different between manufacturers , as there's no standard on response time measurement.

if you do want a 2ms monitor make sure its a BTB/WTW 2ms and not a GTG (grey to grey) 2ms , GTG is like a 5+ms BTB/WTW. (Black to Black)
I use a BenQ 120hz 2ms monitor (XL2420T). It's very good, I personally find the colors to be just fine, but the viewing angle complaint is a valid one.

that or go a model up and get the TE version of that one instead of the T and get a 1m/s GTG response rate , it's the best you can get other then going back to an old school CRT ;)

What SyPTo said. This is fastest response time currently out there.
