Porblems with Nvidia Surround
Hello,
I have recently purchased three Acer H226HQL monitors. I am running a nvidia gtx 660 ti with two of the monitors connected by DVI and the third using HDMI. On the setup multiple displays tab I check all of the boxes next to the monitors. I then click configure surround, Physx. Under this tab I check the box "Span displays with surround". I then click configure and the window showing they are recognized and where to plug them in pops up. I click apply and it turns off two of my monitors. It does not even display the screen afterwards asking how I want them setup. I have tried to change resolutions also but all it ever shows is 1920x1080.
On a side note, would a single 660 ti be able to run upcoming games on high fps on three screens? Or should I buy another 660ti/ upgrade to a newer model?

Okay, so why is it when I youtube and google 660ti surround monitor gaming, I get a lot of videos saying you can do it?
If you link those videos, ill look at it, but from what ive seen , a 660ti will not game on more than 2 moniters max
And ive been working with hardware for years, so if that makes you feel any better about getting info from me

allright, go ahead and game on the 660ti, and when you need a gpu boost, sli. Have you tried gaming on three moniters yet?
or is it still not working

It help if you sli it. which will give it alote more power but you still wont be able to run it in 3D mode or max out your game and you will still have 2 Gb Vram. To run it in 3d mode you will need two 770. Can you post your specs of your card.

2 770's is a huge amount though money wise
I have done alot of reading it better to sli 660 ti with 3 mointers.

I have been trying to get it to work for the past couple of days to no avail. I have tried a few different games, but can not seem to get it to expand across all three. Before now I have never had a computer with components that "claimed" it could run a game across three screens, so I do not know exactly how it is setup besides just watching videos (which I followed exactly as they did). I am not trying to get 3d surround, and would be happy enough with medium graphics on 2d surround.

One of those is the exact card I have.

Dont use the nvidia control panel, use the windows setup for multi moniters, and if only games ont work, see if theres any settings adjustments. Also please note that only some games are multi moniter supported
Thank you for that chart. So 660ti sli seems to be quite a bit better than a single 770?
I have also tried the multiple monitor setup through windows. It displays all screens correctly with numbers, and all are set to extend onto the other displays. When I try to change resolution in game all it displays is 1920x1080. Games I have tried include, skyrim, battlefield 3, arma 2, World of Warcraft, Just cuase 2. I have tried manually typing in resolutions and also lowering graphics.

I have some news I have done some looking thay recommend that you have 3 Gb or 4 Gb VRam card and you deffently need to sli it to get good graphics out of it for those games with a 3 moniter display.
Okay, so a single 660ti will struggle, but shouldn't I still be able to at least display the game across all three even if it is low graphics/fps? If I can get it to display, I will probably be buying another 660ti to sli for improved proformance.

Yes, i really think you should go the money concious route, even if you can afford it, and see how one works. Then upgrade later, if you can wait 2-3 months the 660 ti will go down in price because of the competetive amd gpu's being released,, and that will be just in time for the new consoles. And if theres a game you struggle with and really want to play, just go dual or single screen for that game until you upgrade. Most pc gamers on here will think your trying to max out the game

Thanks for the help with one of my questions. Do you know why I can't seem to display the game on all three even at low graphics? I do not know if this will explain the problem: I have been trying to get a background across all three, hoping I could figure out the problem that way. At first it was like the background was pressed to the right screen (the middle of the picture was displayed on this one). The mouse would still scroll across all three normally (left to right no jumping), but the middle screen was left of the picture and the far left screen was the right of the picture ( the cables Left Dvi, Middle DVI, Right HDMI). I have fixed it now to where the middle of the picture is displayed on the center screen, but I have to keep the farLeft screen as the primary screen. If I try to make the middle screen primary, it will mess up the background again. Do the DVI and HDMI have to be plugged in a certain way/ order? Right now it is currently Leftt DVI, middle HDMI, Right DVI.
