i 2nd the vizio ans samsung , those are my 2 favorite brands for led tv's , i actually have a vizio on my dual setup.
Smal screen ususally only come with 2 Hdmi inputs , some only with one , so you may need to add a splitter in between , make sure it's a box xplitter and not just 1-3 cable splitter , the cable splitters will usually give you crappy quality at 1080P , thats if they even put 1080p thru
they make powered splitters which are better if you use some longer cables (9+ ft / 3 mtr) otherwise an unpowered will do just fine. If you get a tv with 3D , then make sure you get a high quality splitter that is able to split the 3d signal.

thats the one i use , however my cable are only 3ft long each so i have no problems with it , im not sure how it would work with long cable attached to it , im also running mine un-powered.
I personally use Toshiba 42HL833 42' Full HD tv. It does take time to get used to, but no triple monitor setup can match the expirience on a single large screen.
I'd suggest Toshiba and SHARP, though SHARP only makes huge screens.
Managed to find one: http://us.toshiba.com/tv/led/24l4200u
2 HDMI ports, 24', 1080p, 60Hz, response time 8ms (good enough, for 60Hz 16ms is minimum).
for gaming maybe , for every day use , i rather have my dual setup , is damn handy to have 2 screens beside eachother once you get used to it. plus i have my "big picture" setup with my 82" DLP mitsubishi , and my consoles are hooked to the big screen..
