having a cheap keyboard/mouse can make it difficult to use the pc
if its for media editing, a good headset/speakers will make your audio sound better
there are some good mouse/keyboard kits for around $100
or a mech keboard for around $100 if your mouse and headset are acceptable
Basic coms can be achieved with any mic however so I would say get the headset last.
If I may make a suggestion for the program used for your ingame coms, I would suggest looking into Teamspeak 3. Its a lot less demanding on preformence compaired to skype and google which is crucial for lag reduction.
Soo keyboard and mouse. The mouse is what I would advise upgrading first. It is highly important in gaming to have fast turning and shooting.
The keyboard would come second. While it is important, any keyboard will work just fine as long as it works. Until I got my Razer Death Stalker, I used a Logitec K-120. It always seemed to occasionally start typing random things and glitch out but for gaming, it worked just fine.
As a good mechanical keyboard can easily cost this much or more.
If you are comfortable with your current Keyboard & Mouse (as only u can determine that), then I would say invest in a good quality Headset w/ Mic if you plan to actually put it to use for online gaming and anything else related to Audio, or perhaps Skype or Voice-Recording.
